Most reviews don't help

Most product reviews don't help a great deal, take time to read, and do not accurately represent what is happening with a product.

The reason for this is simple. Most of the time people have not used a product for long enough, or they have not tried another product so they cannot give an honest review of it.
The same is true for unboxing videos. They are 'fun' but not really helpful or influencer posts.
If you read most reviews that are positive the result is something like "Works as says", or "Arrived fine" or "As Described" all with five star designations.

On the opposite end you have one star "Broken when arrived" or "Booted up once and then died" etc and so on. For the one star posts this is as meaningless as the five star posts. A certain percentage of product will have manufacturing or human induced flaws - no process is perfect.
This means that a certain number of mistakes will occur in any given set of production run and people are more likely to post if something is wrong than if it is perfect.
This means that a product may be great 99.99% of the time but every singe time there is something wrong someone, somewhere, will complain about it.
This does not mean that all reviews are bad, there are some reviews that give you a good feel for a product, but often they are hidden deep within the review universe where number of reviews, product likes, or other weighted averages are the real key sites like Amazon and others use to get you to purchase a product.

The goal of this site is to provide REAL reviews and AGGREGATE reviews which mean something. We do not like the ranking system of stars or number of people. Rather there are pros and cons. How easy is the company or seller to work with. If there was a problem did they take care of it with a refund or exchange. So even if you do not use our site to try to see if a product or service is worth using. At least keep in mind that a product may be better than you think, or significantly worse, even if the reviews are good or bad. Instead when looking through reviews ask - did the company fix the issues, did someone list pros and cons, are the negative reviews only based on defects.
By keeping these things in mind you better be able to discover and buy better products than the reviews indicate.
